Deep in the winter woods, beneath a sprinkling of snow, the Bat Choir has gathered for its annual Christmas concert.

Wrapped up in their cosiest scarves and clutching their song sheets, they sing from the branches while a little gathering of woodland friends listens below. 

Reproduced from my original traditionally painted artwork, this little scene is full of the sort of woodland magic I love, tiny creatures, wintry trees and the thought that perhaps, when we're not looking, the woods have Christmas traditions all of their own.
